Our
firm has long journey of 73 years in plywood and
allied products.
Shri Ravishankar H. Pandya started plywood business
at Karachi in 1932, in the name and style of "R.
Pandya & Sons". Plywood was imported from
Poland, Sweden and France. As plywood was new item
for India. He travelled almost all India to create
Business, as we were sole Distributors of well known
plywood for whole of India. He created very good
market, appointed agents throughout India.
It
was his dream to manufacture plywood in India. He
therefore sent his son Harsukh R. Pandya at Dehradun
in F.R.I. College in utilization of Timber section.
After completing the course we tried various province
and state to establish plywood manufacturing unit.
At last Govt. of Kashmir agreed with our terms.
But unfortunately partion of India and Pakistan
took place. We had to leave our business and all
our belonging in Karachi.
After
partition we have to start from zero. In 1939, Harsukh
R. Pandya established our business at Rajkot. We
again made great toil and created a good market
for plywood and allied products, in whole Saurashtra
& Kutchh. Securing sole agency for these area
of M/s. Wood Craft Products Ltd. And maintain this
relation for 40 years. We also secured agency of
Hard Board, Laminated Sheets, Aluminum Section and
Fittings. We also started branches at Junagadh and
Bhavnagar.
Since
last 20 years son of H. R. Pandya, Bhasker H. Pandya
is handling this business. Since last ten years
sons of B. H. Pandya also join in the business.
They have created new line of furniture manufacturing.
They also have created new line of Fibre Glass Reinforced
molded Plastic Doors, Windows, Panels and other
various varieties, design and colors.
In
this way our March goes on since 73 years.
